Samsung has the honor that its Samsung Galaxy Note 3 tablet was actually the first non-Nexus device in the whole technology market which was running Android 4.3 version, and now the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is the Samsung’s flagship smartphone, will be another Samsung the next device running the Android OS 4.3 version.
Samsung Galaxy S4′s LTE variant which is GT-I9505, will be receiving the update for the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The first country which will receive this update is Germany as this Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update made for Galaxy S4 will be rolling out in phases, meaning that the other countries and the other device variants will receive the update very soon but in steps.
The Samsung Galaxy S4′s Android 4.3 update is made available both over the air (OTA) along with the company’s Kies software. This update will bring Galaxy Gear support for the Samsung Galaxy S4, which will make it the second device to support this functionality
The details for the update includes OpenGL 3.0 support. Another major feature to come with this update is the new Samsung’s Wallet app. The update also has much improved RAM management features and much improved display color reproduction, making the display look better and sharper than before.
The update also includes an improved TouchWiz launcher along with the Samsung’s new keyboard and the new Samsung’s default Browser version. Besides that, new camera firmware along with minor tweaks in the UI for contacts is also included in this update. Furthermore, dialog box apps and flashlight widget are also included in this update.

- Minor UI tweaks (Contacts app, Flashlight Widget, dialog boxes etc)
Another report also indicated that the company was also planning to release an Android 4.3 update for its other top of the line smartphones too. Hence, it is expected that the previous Samsung Galaxy S III will also be getting this update by October end or November. Furthermore, the previous Samsung Galaxy Note II may also be receiving this update soon too. However this update will be released at the end of November, or early December. It is good news for all Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 users that they can enjoy this update now, while the others can enjoy it after a month or two.
